A Profile of Wellbeing in Ontario: The East Region

Ontario Trillium Foundation

November 1, 2020

The East region of Ontario has a population that is somewhat older, is made up of families who are living in their own homes, and boasts one of the highest percentages of people with knowledge of both of Canada’s official languages. People in the region enjoy one of the highest after-tax median incomes in the province as well as a good employment rate and the lowest level of unemployment. Overall, it is a fairly economically secure, family-oriented region of the province. From Ontario Trillium Foundation.
