This document was developed to address the need for a national strategic plan for the revitalization of First Nations languages in Canada. The health of FN languages has been critically impacted over the past century and this strategy is designed to support and revitalize the contribution of FNs to Canada through their rich culture, history and languages. The initiatives described have been designed to ensure the ongoing revitalization, recognition and protection of FN languages.
