Bridging Past and Future: An Intergenerational Discussion on the Future of Nonprofits

A thriving nonprofit sector that prioritizes equity and a future without systemic oppression will require many different pathways and leadership. However, our current system of relationships between government, funders, and nonprofits keeps our sector trapped in ways of working that perpetuates inequities related to race, gender, ability, age and more. This is commonly referred to as the “nonprofit industrial complex”. As workers and volunteers in the sector, what can we learn from each other to create relationships/new ways of supporting communities?
